Anti virus IT support in London

Restore and recovery

If your system were unusable due to fire, flood or theft, could you get another system working again quickly only with existing backups? Do you have all the software you need to hand with any licence keys required to re-install, or the software disk required to restore the system image? Without a plan to restore and a physical test you are only half way to protecting your systems.

System imaging

The ideal solution to protect yourself against complete system failure due to either software such as virus infection, or hardware such as a hard disk crash. Even if you have your data backed up, it can take hours or potentially days to re-install your operating system, programs, and setup everything the way you had it before. Often, settings such as Internet favourites, desktop backgrounds and other system settings are not included in a data backup, and a server system can be even more problematic to re-install. A disk image can be restored typically within an hour. The complete system is restored including all your programs and settings avoiding lengthy setup and configuration.

Virtual servers

One of the benefits of virtualisation is the ease of backup and recovery. Your  system is already effectively an image and can be copied and started easily on another physical server without any re-installation issues.

Backup and restore, essential protection

Business continuity planning Although many companies have some backup arrangements, very few plan how to restore the data. Even fewer actually test using the backup data. Business continuity is not exclusively an IT issue, your whole business operating environment should be examined from phones to stationary requirements.

Business Continuity IT managed services Online data backup Many people use a USB key or external hard disk for data backup, but then either do not encrypt the sensitive business information, forget to take the device away, or do not check the backup actually worked. There is always the risk of losing the disk too. An online backup service works automatically in the background keeping your data safe by backing up through your internet connection to a secure data centre. This has the added advantage of making your backup files available anywhere you have an internet connection through a web browser.
